Samuel Adegboyega University’s quest to becoming a world class university received a boost yesterday following the donation of 1500 book titles to the University library by a renowned Professor with the University of Texas Huston, Professor Toyin Falola. The books, which were delivered to the Vice Chancellor, Professor A. He urged the students to make effective use of the books to expand their knowledge level. He added that he had a long history of partnership with the University. According to him, “the Vice Chancellor may recall that I was the one who delivered the first Distinguished Personality Lecture of the University and since then, I have continue to partner with the University.”

Responding, the Vice Chancellor, Professor A. Babtunde Idowu, appreciated Professor Falola for the gesture and promised that the University would make judicious use of the books. The Vice Chancellor recounted that while he was in the United States recently, the donation of the books was part of the discussions he had with some international friends of the University. The VC expressed optimism that the partnership would continue.

Also responding, the University Librarian, Dr. Emmanuel Ajala, thanked Prof. Falola for enriching the University Library with “current and amazing books”. Dr. Ajala added that the University would benefit so much from the donation.
